Tomorrow morning the 5th at 5:30am a team of 8 will be landing here in San Jose to spend the next 10 days with me and my girls. They will be doing orientation with me all Monday and then Tuesday morning we head up to Renacer and will be up there until the following Tuesday the 13th. We will then go ziplining and on Wednesday go down town and conclude our debrief session. Then they leave Thursday the 15th bright and early in the morning.
While they are at Renacer they will be doing craft projects, a talent show, an art gallery, a spa day, a rally day, and many more things. In the evenings we will have a praise and worship time along with a message on the verses for the week. And most importantly just hanging out with and loving on my amazing girls.
During this time we will need lots of prayers. For the team as they travel and adjust to a new culture. None of them really speak English, so pray that their actions and love will surpass the communication barrier. Three of the girls will be heading to college in August and one will be a Senior, so pray for them that this will be a life shaping experience for them that takes them further into the love of our amazing Lord and Savior.
Please pray for our girls and staff at Renacer. That they will welcome the group and build some sweet relationships. Pray that the girls and the staff will see the face of God through the lives of the team members. May they be stretched and led to a saving relationship with Jesus.
Please pray for me that I will be a humble and patient leader. Pray for me as I translate the entire week. Pray that God will give me the gift of the Spanish tongue much more than I have, so His words can be communicated in the best way. Pray that I will focus on my work with the team and not all the other work I have there to do. Also pray for my health, that I will remain healthy and not have problems with my stomach and the food.
Overall pray that God’s saving and transforming work is done. I want this to be a time that He will use to spur on the relationships between Him and these girls. And also the continual transforming work He is doing in each of the team members.
Thank you for your prayers. I can’t wait to share with you all that God does over the next 10 days. Alright off to do last minute stuff. Happy 4th of July!!!
