Time is Winding Down

As I drove around today, I couldn’t help but get so excited about the beauty of Fall around me. I have never been this excited about Fall in my life. I guess I never truly appreciated the season although I always loved the beauty of it. It’s my first fall in 3 years and obviously I am loving it. Along with the ushering in of Fall comes pumpkin spice chai!! Yummy!!!

Today I was at Panera, drinking my pumpkin spice chai and writing up my talk for this coming Monday night. (Check out my previous post.) I was reading through some letters, seven of my girls wrote, sharing their stories and I couldn’t help but just grow ever more excited to be back with them in only 4 short weeks. (Well 5 weeks before I return back to work.)

My heart was warmed and my excitement is growing ever so within me. It’s a funny place to be; to have two homes that you cherish. When I am there in Costa Rica, as the time draws closer for my return to the states I can’t help but become excited though sad to leave my girls for a time. Now I find myself in the same position, getting ever more excited to be returning home to Costa Rica but sadden that my short time here is wrapping up. But what a blessing it is that I can love two places as my home!

So now the preparation begins; switching back to Spanish (even if it’s only my thinking in Spanish), beginning to say good-byes, making the packing list, begin the packing and so much more! As this time comes to a close I look forward to the next year ahead! Oh what a year it will be. Only 4 weeks left until I’m leaving on a jet plane…(if you didn’t break out in song you might want to go back and read that last line again and sing it this time!) haha.

the way you describe fall, it makes me and my hubby want to experience fall too, since we only have summer and rainy season in our country...
